Open Library
A complete solution for the modern library branch.
Cordura was behind the first 'Open Library' in Denmark, and has
now more than 40 established solutions across the country.
The system is a supplement to the existing opening hours of the
library branches.
It is a self-service solution, where users themselves are
responsible for access to and operation of library facilities.
Corduras specially developed software and hardware makes it
possible for smaller library branches to stay open without physical
presence of personnel.
The access control consists of a single entrancecomputer at the
library's entrance, where users can let themselves in using their
library card or health card and a PIN. To further ensure the
supervision of the library, Cordura installs intelligent monitoring
and software that ensures automatic control of the alarm system,
doors, voice alarm and lights in the library.
All components in 'The Open Library' is controlled by the
SOL-systemet/server, which is easily administered through a central
website.

also shows a high satisfaction among the users because of the
extended hours, that have created a flexible library at the terms
of the users. The libraries physical space is also utilized to a
greater extent, as well as the creation of new technological
opportunities to get more knowledge and more experiences at the
library.
'The Open Library' can easily be integrated to the existing
library system, making it user-friendly and easy to manage for the
staff. The system is easy to install and Cordura offers a service
that ensures professional support and operation of the
solution.
The system is developed in collaboration with Silkeborg
